Wedding Hair Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28/05/2026
Please read these Wedding Hair Terms & Conditions carefully before booking. Payment of your deposit confirms your agreement to these terms.
These terms apply to wedding hair services provided by Kinson Hair Studio and/or the assigned stylist.
1. Booking confirmation
A wedding booking is not confirmed until:
the booking has been accepted by Kinson Hair Studio;
the required deposit has been paid;
the wedding date, location and services have been agreed;
the client has accepted these terms.
All invoices are subject to change if additional services, travel, assistants, timing changes or extra styling requests are added.
2. Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure the wedding booking.
The deposit is deducted from the final balance.
The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days before the wedding date.
3. Trial appointment
A trial appointment will be arranged at a mutually convenient time.
During the trial, the stylist will discuss the desired look, hair type, styling options and any relevant hair history, allergies or sensitivities.
A record may be kept of the chosen style, products used and any relevant notes for the wedding day.
If the client chooses not to have a trial, Kinson Hair Studio cannot accept responsibility if the final look on the wedding day differs from the client’s expectations.
4. Changes after booking
Any changes to the number of people, styling requirements, timings or location must be confirmed as early as possible.
Additional services are subject to availability and may result in extra charges.
If extra services are requested on the wedding day and time allows, these will be charged at the agreed additional styling rate.
5. Cancellations by the client
The 50% deposit is non-refundable.
If the booking is cancelled within 14 days of the wedding date, the full remaining balance will still be payable.
Deposits may only be transferred to another date at the discretion of Kinson Hair Studio and subject to availability.
6. Cancellations by Kinson Hair Studio or the stylist
In the unlikely event that the stylist is unable to attend due to illness, injury, emergency or circumstances beyond our control, we will make reasonable efforts to find a replacement stylist of a similar standard.
If a replacement cannot be found, any monies paid for the wedding day service will be refunded, excluding any completed trial service.
Kinson Hair Studio is not responsible for additional losses, costs or expenses beyond the value of the contracted service, including travel, accommodation, photography, venue costs or other wedding-related arrangements.
7. Health, allergies and sensitivities
You must inform Kinson Hair Studio and the stylist of any allergies, sensitivities, scalp conditions, skin conditions, medical conditions or previous reactions to hair products.
You are also responsible for ensuring that members of your bridal party disclose any relevant health, allergy or sensitivity information before services begin.
The stylist reserves the right to refuse or adapt a service if they believe it may be unsafe or unsuitable.
8. Illness and infection control
Hair services will not be carried out on anyone who appears to have an infectious illness, contagious scalp condition or any condition that may present a risk to the stylist or others.
The stylist may decline a service at their discretion on health and safety grounds.
9. Timings on the wedding day
A schedule will be agreed before the wedding day, including arrival time, setup time, service order and finishing time.
Please ensure all members of the bridal party are ready at their allocated times.
If delays are caused by the client, bridal party, venue access, photography schedule or other factors outside the stylist’s control, additional time may be charged at £65 per hour, where the stylist is able to stay.
10. Setup requirements
The client must provide:
suitable table or workspace;
chair;
mirror;
access to plug sockets;
good lighting where possible;
safe working space;
nearby parking or loading access where required.
11. Equipment and safety
The client is responsible for ensuring children and guests are kept away from heated tools, styling products, cables and equipment.
If the stylist’s kit, tools or equipment are damaged by the client, bridal party or guests, the client may be charged the cost of repair or replacement.
12. Travel, parking and accommodation
Travel charges apply to wedding day services and will be calculated based on distance and journey requirements.
Additional costs may include parking, congestion charges, tolls, public transport, taxis, accommodation and food where required due to distance, early start times or extended bookings.
These costs will be agreed in advance where possible.
13. Assistants
If an assistant is required due to the number of people, timing or location, an additional assistant fee will apply.
The current assistant fee is £100 unless otherwise agreed.
14. Photography and marketing
The stylist may take photos or videos of the finished hairstyle at the trial and/or on the wedding day.
Photo and video consent is optional. You can opt in or out before your wedding day.
Images may be used for salon records, portfolio, website, social media or marketing only where permission has been given.
15. Client responsibility
The client is responsible for ensuring all members of the bridal party understand and follow these terms where services are being provided under the booking.
16. Limitation of liability
Kinson Hair Studio and the stylist are not insurers or guarantors. If you require cover for cancellation, supplier failure, loss, damage or disruption, you should arrange appropriate wedding insurance.
Kinson Hair Studio and the stylist are not liable for delays, non-performance, reduced service time or additional costs caused by circumstances outside our control, including late arrival of the bridal party, venue restrictions, weather, traffic, illness, emergency, incorrect information or failure to follow agreed instructions.
Liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the contracted service, except where it would be unlawful to limit liability.
17. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms will remain in effect.
